Sisters and Cousins

With her sister and neice in town for the weekend, Sarah decided to come by the studio for a family photo shoot with all the girls. Sarah's daughters are 23 months and 4 months old. Tracey's daughter is 13 months old. Abigail jumped right into the photo shoot while Charlotte needed a little time to get accustomed to the studio. By the time we got the bubbles out, though, the girls were happy to play and have their photos taken.
And sweet little Natalie was an angel throughout the whole thing. It was so much fun to have so many girls running around having a good time together. Thank goodness for sisters and cousins.

Grey Card Grey

We painted the studio this weekend. Instead of the warm 'chai latte' peach that tended to cause problems with color cast in photos, we now have the clean and neutral 'grey card grey' - literally.

We brought a grey card - the tool used to set an accurate exposure when a light meter is not available - to the paint store. They scanned it and mixed the paint for us. The man who mixed our paint was familiar with the use of a grey card and thought it was a good idea.

Two days of painting and now it's done. I love it. And, more importantly, I won't have to worry about skewed colors anymore.

Now to hang some photographs back up on the walls and start shooting again. I can't wait to have little (and big) people running around the studio in glee while I photograph them once more.
