Grey Card Grey

We painted the studio this weekend. Instead of the warm 'chai latte' peach that tended to cause problems with color cast in photos, we now have the clean and neutral 'grey card grey' - literally.

We brought a grey card - the tool used to set an accurate exposure when a light meter is not available - to the paint store. They scanned it and mixed the paint for us. The man who mixed our paint was familiar with the use of a grey card and thought it was a good idea.

Two days of painting and now it's done. I love it. And, more importantly, I won't have to worry about skewed colors anymore.

Now to hang some photographs back up on the walls and start shooting again. I can't wait to have little (and big) people running around the studio in glee while I photograph them once more.
